Geometry

The Hummingbird features a well-balanced geometry: 66.° HTA, tall stack, moderate wheelbase, and designed around a 50-60mm stem. This gives the bike a good balance of quick handling and agility while maintaining stability on singletrack and loose corners.

  • Customer Charlie with Neuhaus Metalworks Hummingbird Core

The Neuhaus Hummingbird is on a whole other level. Not only can I ride from my garage to the trailhead comfortably and efficiently but once I’m on the trail it’s pushing me to ride more confidently, harder and on more technical terrain. The Hummingbird lights up on punchy, rooty/rocky climbs - holding traction when it doesn’t feel like it’s possible, and it is super playful and easy to throw around when negotiating technical terrain at speed. Coming from a different progressive steel hardtail with all the same parts this bike is noticeably more compliant and gets more compliments on the trail (seriously, people wont stop asking me about the paint).

  • Neuhaus Metalworks Hummingbird Custom review image from Eli

I’ve worked in the bike industry, owned several custom geometry frames, and have been building bikes for the better part of 15 years.  This frame is pure magic! In the past 9 months of owning this bike I have regained my true love for riding bikes — I’m not generally the emotional type,  but I look forward to a very long relationship with this beautiful machine.

  • Neuhaus Metalworks Hummingbird Ti Review image from Doug

I’ve had a steel Surly Krampus fork on the bike for a couple months now and I REALLY enjoy the way it handles and rides. It was also really handy on a bikepacking trip with the extra bosses and for road riding.
